Merchandising Controller

Responsible for the effective performance of the total Merchandising Department which will be fully accountable for:
- Delivery of sales targets for L&T and GM categories
- Deliver on net margin targets through discount and pricing control
- Work closely with key stakeholders such as Operations and Marketing and Logistics on
- Fulfilling stock replenishments in line with sales targets
- OTB Management
- Keep Best sellers in Stocks
- Ensure timely delivery of goods to the shop floor
- Assortment, promotion planning and product launches are well executed on the shop floor
- Manage price positioning versus 5 rivalry airports, namely Beijing, Changi, Inchon, Sydney, Narita
- Build effective Vendors work relationships and enhance vendors’ base
1. Define and implement key functional metrics to track performance
2. Keep abreast of market developments and lead and execute merchandising strategies to meet sales objectives
3. Provide leadership and coaching to the Merchandising team
Requirements:
1. Bachelor Degree in business discipline
2. 10 years solid experience with proven track record in Travel retail
3. Work experience in Liquor and Tobacco is highly preferred
4. Strong working knowledge of Merchandising trends and market information
5. Effective communications and can work independently in a fast paced environment
6. Strong interpersonal skills and can interact at all levels
7. Proven Leadership quality
